There are three key words in Mark 1:1. The first one is “beginning:” to begin, to start. All of life is a new beginning: being born, starting school, starting to work, getting married, establishing a household, engaging in ministry, starting a new project. When we are joined with Jesus Christ, it’s a new beginning of life change and transformation. The first day of January is the beginning of a new year. We start our spiritual beginning when we are born again through the Gospel of salvation, when we believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, according to Rom. 10:9. The second word is “Gospel:” good news. We waste all of our time listening to information that disturbs our feelings, our minds, and our bodies. The Gospel announces hope, restoration, and eternal life in Jesus Christ. The last one is “Jesus,” Son of God. It’s not a secret – Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God. He is the turning point of our connection with God’s plan and inheritance. He is the open door that leads us back to the holy city. We become sons of God if we receive Jesus Christ and we believe Him. With Him and for Him, we begin a new life.

Since my Haggai Leader Experience, I have more energy to equip other leaders to hold the Gospel as their top priority and to help meet people’s felt needs. We are called to end Gospel poverty. It’s my task, it’s your task, and it’s our task to share the Gospel.
