This woman was a Gentile, born in Syrian Phoenicia, and she had a problem she knew she could not solve on her own — why else would she seek out a Jewish man for help? What she heard about Him motivated her to run to Him and plead for help. Many of us hear or have heard of people who are in a position to help, but disdain them, often because we feel they either did not look the part of a possible helper, or the method used seems too simple to be genuine to us. This woman was convinced of what she had heard and was determined nothing would stop her from getting help. She ran to Jesus and fell at His feet. This is what a woman in many parts of Africa would do. She needs help desperately for her child, who is of great importance in African culture. When a child is sick, their mother leaves no stone unturned to get help so the child does not die. That is also why we who are Christians must leave no stone unturned till we do everything in our power to end Gospel poverty. Someone out there needs what we have and who we have in our heart.

The church I serve is a missionary church with the vision to reach the whole word with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My Haggai Leadership Experience has enhanced that desire in me. My life and ministry became even more focused, in personal evangelism as well as helping others discover their destiny and shape their lives according to the will of God.
