In 1992, during my morning prayer time, I heard the Holy Spirit tell me to buy a Bible in one of the Zimbabwean native languages. Sometime after that, I started looking for the Bible. It was not readily available. It took me a number of years to get one. It was only after I got the Bible I understood that God was calling me to unreached people groups. I believe hearing is strongly connected to doing. The proof of hearing is shown through our obedience. From 1992 to 2006, I prayed for God to open a door for me to serve cross-culturally among an unreached people group. For some time, I thought the Lord was calling me to Tibet. During this time, I got involved in ministry with different groups, from my local church to parachurch ministries. I knew the Lord was calling me to the ministry of making disciples, and that’s what I did until the Lord spoke again. This time, I was walking out of my office when I got a phone call from Mexico. As soon as I answered the phone, the Holy Spirit said to me in an audible way, “You are going to Mexico, because they need you.” That sealed everything. I accepted the invitation to come to Mexico. I knew God wanted my family to walk with Him in Mexico. In 2009, we arrived in Mexico City, where we have been planting churches and mobilizing Mexicans for missions.
