Meek is an adjective that means, “to show patience, humility, and gentleness.” Jesus declared Himself to be meek, and instructed His followers to strive for the same. In Numbers 12:3, Moses is called “more (meek) than all the people who were on the face of the Earth.” Meekness is not a cherished value in today’s culture; people who are meek may get trampled. But we have to learn that meekness is not weakness — it is submission to God, which gives strength for obedience. Meekness accepts criticism without lashing back. We have to practice meekness intentionally so God is glorified. Outof-control emotions are destructive and have no place in the life of a believer. People who are meek carry wisdom and understanding. Meekness is pleasing to our Father in Heaven, who gives us so much. One must be an heir to inherit something. We must give our earthly treasures away and place our hearts elsewhere. When our hearts are given to God, the mammon becomes a servant. God honors us not simply with the Earth, but with the Kingdom as an inheritance. Why do we ever wish for something as insignificant and transient as wealth and honor when God has promised an inheritance?

The Haggai Leadership Experience is a blessing the Lord graciously bestowed upon me. I recognized that I am called for a purpose to be in this nation. I realized that my perfect mission field is where I am right now, where there are lost souls. The deep desire of my heart is to lead by example and inspire those around me to do the same.
