Since I was young, I have had many questions about the Scriptures and have often explored for answers. One of them is, “What is the Kingdom of God?” Some think it is Heaven and refers to the afterlife of Christians. I heard a pastor say once that doing God’s will is the Kingdom of God. But my search continued. Recently, in one of my Bible studies, I received clarity on this question. The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, as per Rom. 14:17. These three comprise a blessed communion with the Creator. These words are in perfectly sequenced order. Righteousness, another word for right standing with the Almighty, precedes the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God is not referring to some far-off reality; it is the blessed communion with God we can have right now through Jesus Christ!
