Being a mother of two boys, 20 and 17, I can understand the emotion being communicated in this verse. I fondly remember the joy I had when I first held my sons in my arms. The answer to the question asked here seems to be a definite NO! As a medical professional, I understand people sometimes suffer from memory loss because of conditions like depression or Alzheimer’s disease. Some really difficult situations in life may force a mother to forget or disapprove of her child. But what a comfort to know whatever the situation, my God will never forget me or forsake me. He holds me in his loving arms daily. His presence is with me always. Thank you, dear Lord, for your never-ending love.
