In Ivory Coast, one of the outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic is the Ivorian Ad Hoc Committee of Faith and Justice Network (FJN). The main goal of this organization is to bring church leaders together, because as we say in our culture, “together we are strong.” The purpose of the committee is for its members to pray unceasingly, advocate for peace and justice, be present to give advice throughout elections, etc. As the watchmen in Isaiah 62 refused to rest and kept praying ardent prayers out of zeal for the salvation of Jerusalem, so is the committee doing together on behalf of our country. Putting aside leisure, distraction, and fear of persecution, they are working hand-in-hand until the salvation of Ivory Coast is realized.
