Here, the Bible assures us what we ask in prayer we will receive. The previous verse says even if you ask a mountain to move, it will be moved. This does not mean we will get everything we want from God, for He knows what is best for us, even when we don’t. It does mean what we think is impossible is possible for God. This gives us hope that everything is possible when we ask Him. Let us not be discouraged by seeing storms and strong waves. But at the same time, let us remember we must ask for guidance from God through our prayers. When we ask in prayer, it means we are in direct communication with God. The next part is belief. Believe like you have already received it. This means God has already granted our request and He will make it happen at the appropriate and appointed time, in His way. Belief is directly linked with our faith. We may not be able to see our future, but God, who is in control of us, can see our future and what will be good for us. Then comes the third part, which is the promise. What you have asked in prayer, you will receive beyond any doubt. Is this not wonderful? So, dear brothers, ask in prayer according to His will and believe you will receive the answer God knows you need.
