The past few years of the COVID-19 pandemic have changed the lifestyles of people in the way they live, think, earn, and relate. As I traveled to different places in Nepal and met different people from different religions, their lives have been affected tremendously due to COVID-19. Most people said, “Everything is meaningless if I am dead.” People saw death up close during this pandemic. Christians have also tasted death during the pandemic years. Many went to be with the Lord, and many are still alive, despite being very sick. Those who are alive saw this second chance at life as a gift from God to do the remaining work He had for them. King David is a great example, as we see in Ps. 18:1-2. In times of trouble or darkness of life, David truly went to the Lord and placed God in the first place. During the pandemic, I found refuge in Him. As the deer longs for streams of water, I always search for God in everything I do and try to act justly. As followers of Jesus Christ, are we strong enough to search and submit to Him more than anything else?
