The word “if” opens up the greatest potential available to man, i.e., the resources and providence of God. During an outreach in one of the villages of South India, we witnessed the power of this “if” in the life of a 6-year-old girl. Doctors gave up after chemotherapy did not help, and her parents didn’t want to bring her home from the hospital. The local pastor, Mr. Samuel K., who was struggling himself, brought that child to their church and kept her with them. With a simple daily diet of egg and milk (a luxury for the pastor), lots of love, and his pivotal “if you can” faith, the girl was completely healed, restored to her parents, and attends the church’s Sunday school. What healed her was not the medicines nor the luxuries of healthy food, but a challenge that was accepted: “if you can believe.” Miracles are ours to claim; it only requires a faith upon His name. Let’s accept the challenge and believe!
