Twenty-two years ago, God gifted us with the most beautiful baby boy. But, our baby was born blue! He was immediately admitted to the NICU while his oxygen saturation normalized. Eight days later, his doctors informed us that his kidneys had failed. His creatinine levels were abnormally high, and he might require dialysis. It seemed to be the darkest day of my life. Our pastor announced a day of fasting and prayer the following day, August 15. It was a national holiday, Indian Independence Day. On August 16, our baby’s tests would be repeated before deciding next steps. That morning, as I lay helpless looking up to our mighty Savior, a dear friend called. She encouraged me, “Jesus will heal your child. Not the doctors, not technology, not anything – because Jesus said, “rise, pick up your bed” (Mk. 2:11). I strongly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit sweeping over me. My husband called me at 4 p.m. with the test results. I trembled as I took the call. My husband simply said, “Praise God!” I knew a mighty miracle had happened! Our baby’s creatinine levels were in the normal range. The hospital staff was amazed and said,”It is your faith in your God that healed this child!” Glory to God!

Haggai has taught me to be constantly watchful for every opportunity to share the Gospel. I can sense needs in others, offering comfort and encouragement through the love of Christ.
