Jesus said He came specifically to bear witness to the truth and that everyone who is of the truth hears His voice. Jesus Himself is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to God the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Jesus came to bear witness to the truth of God’s redemptive plan. He is the Truth which humanity needs to know so they may be set free (John 8:32). The truth of the redemptive Gospel of Jesus Christ is the mystery which, in other ages, was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed (Eph. 3:4-5). Just as Christ came to bear witness to truth, we who are His disciples have a mandate to preach the unadulterated truth of the Gospel to give people genuine opportunities to be saved.
