Our little girl is reaching her pre-adolescence and is full of questions and conclusions. She knows the value we have passed on to her throughout her life. How will she handle difficult situations? Will she make good choices? It is in this moment of uncertainty that we turn to God. Jesus left us eternal teaching that makes a difference in our journey as children of God. Jesus came, died, rose again, and sent us the Holy Spirit, the Great Comforter. He did not put any conditions on us to be connected to Him except to love Him. As His children, loving Him naturally leads us to keep His commandments, not because we are forced to obey, but out of love and honor to Him who has done so much for us undeservedly. At home, our child learns our example of love for Jesus, which will make a significant difference in our young worshiper’s journey. May the love of Jesus be present in every Christian home, guiding us gracefully through the different phases of our lives.
