Every child needs a father. It’s estimated that more than 35,000 children lost one or both parents to COVID-19 in my country of Indonesia. Most have been taken care of by other adults, but many children aren’t being nurtured. Losing their parents threatens their nutrition status and growth and places them at a higher risk for becoming a victim of violence and exploitation. In our spiritual relationship with God, we know our Father will not forsake us. We can confidently serve others out of the abundance a relationship with our Father provides. Now is the time to reach the fatherless and motherless and teach them about having God as their Father by sharing with them the Good News of salvation. God is the helper of the fatherless, and God is their Father.
