Even when I was out of the country, I actively campaigned during the recent Philippine elections. I engaged with my friends online and shared facts to keep them informed. During the brief seven-month campaign period, deliberate misinformation became the norm, relativism the order of the day. This verse tells us how the identity of Jesus as the Son of God has become so indisputable, even the demons acknowledge it. Despite being enemies of the truth themselves, these unclean spirits are powerless against the legitimacy of who Christ is. As Christians, let’s make it our moral duty to remain vigilant when it comes to the truth. When we allow the lines between fact and fiction to blur, we defy the very essence of what we stand for – that Truth is a person, not a concept.
