The needs described in this verse are daily needs and worries that occupy our thinking constantly. Will I have enough? When we are too concerned about the future, we will be worried, and this will hinder our ministry. When I finished medical school 30 years ago, the Lord gave me the call to leave my father’s house to serve Him among poor people. I was so afraid — who will secure my life and take care of my future? Out of this fear, I refused the call. After some years, I suffered an accident. In this moment, I realized having a good career, food, and nice clothes did not protect me. So, I asked the Lord for forgiveness and surrendered my life to Him and His people. Throughout many years of serving the poor, I experienced a lot of difficult situations. But as long as my eyes remained upon Him and I was carrying His joyful message, I never felt in need, and I never experienced shortage or lack of peace or joy. God stands by His Word, and He is faithful. When He gives an order, He also gives the power and everything you need to successfully carry out the order.
