As pastors in ministry, it can be a challenge to maintain our private prayer life in addition to all of our responsibilities. We miss out on comfort and strength from God when we are not kneeling and praying privately. My own private prayers envelop me closer to my God and His presence. Jesus’ words come so alive and our relationship is bound to Him, rather than to outward shows of faith, like how many times we pray, fast, go to church, or do good deeds. 1 Sam. 16:7 says, “‚Ķ man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” Many times, we’re so busy for God so others can see how efficient we are; however, we fail in the sight of God and ultimately become inefficient. Therefore, as we live everyday, let’s live to seek reward from God, rather than temporary applause from humans on Earth. Let the Father who knows and sees all reward you for the prayers and tears you pour out in secret.

It was such a blessing to be part of the Haggai Leader Experience in 2017. It broadened my horizons in my ministry.
